Welcome to

Montgomery High School

Welcome to the website of Montgomery High School, a Language College and Extended Services school.

Introduction

Montgomery High School is a specialist Language College situated in Bispham, north Blackpool. We are proud of our reputation for securing both high quality academic achievement and providing the best possible learning opportunities and support for all students.

Standards have steadily improved over the past ten years and in 2011 96% of Year 11 students secured at least 5 GCSE A*-C grades. 61% of students obtained these 5 grades, or more, including English and Mathematics.

These high standards and our enduring reputation are built upon the foundations of mutual respect, collective values and the firm beliefs that learning counts and people really matter.

We also strive to be at the forefront of innovation and change in education. We have developed a vibrant curriculum responsive to the needs of young people in a rapidly changing world. We are committed to inspiring students to be positive contributors to their school and wider community.

This school is energetic, inclusive and continually seeking ways to develop and improve the opportunities we offer to the local and wider community. We strive to maintain a firm balance between our prime function of providing the highest quality education and care in the broadest sense and attention to the individual needs of each member of the school.

I hope to be able to welcome you to Montgomery to see for yourself the ways in which we aim to draw the best from the talents, expertise and experience of all our students and staff.
